Luke Hollywood - Big Lonesome (album)

Je ne sais pas comment sera cette année de mes 40 ans mais avec un nouveau Luke Hollywood elle commence bien. Le songwriter ouvre 2024 avec Big Lonesome, album indie rock, folk et lo-fi avec ses pointes d'humour. Luke Hollywood joue tous les instruments : guitares, boîtes à rythme, synthés, percussions... 12 chansons qui ne se ressemblent pas mais avec la même capacité à accrocher et entrainer dans leurs refrains entêtants.

I don't how will be this year of my 40s but it's starting well with a new album by Luke Hollywood. The songwriter opens 2024 with Big Lonesome, an indie rock, folk and lo-fi album with its notes of humour. Luke Hollywood plays all the instruments: guitars, drum machines, synths and percussions... 12 singular songs but with the same ability to catch and take you into heady choruses.

Luke Hollywood - Cloud Harvest (album)

Luke Hollywood n'est pas un célèbre acteur, enfin pas que je sache, mais il faisait partie des New Bad Things et ça c'est quand même mieux. Cloud Harvest est donc un album évidemment très lo-fi et plutôt rock'n'roll, sans batterie ni basse mais avec quelques boîtes à rythme, des guitares et surtout d'excellentes chansons faites à la maison.

Luke Hollywood is not a famous actor, or not as far as i know, but he was a member of the New Bad Things which is a way much better thing. So Cloud Harvest is obviously a very lo-fi and mostly rock'n'roll album, without drums nor bass but some drum machines, guitars and most of all excellent home made songs.

Matthew Hattie Hein - In Search Of Lost Hein (Album)

20 ans du songwriter Matthew Hattie Hein (New Bad Things) en à peu près autant de chansons, essentielles, goûteuses comme un verre de vin chez soi, doucement et agréablement étourdissant.
Des chansons lo-fi folk à l'intimité casanière plutôt minimalistes qui laissent apparaitre par moments quelques arrangements bien mesurés comme le très pop Space Room ou le plus abstrait Goin' On.
Aussitôt retrouvé, aussitôt reperdu, à 33 exemplaires, le 33t est évidemment épuisé sous ce format. Espérons qu'il ait au moins retrouvé son pantalon (The Interstate).

20 years of the songwriter Matthew Hattie Hein (New Bad Things) in almost as many songs, essential, tasty as a glass of wine at home, gently and pleasantly going to your head.
Lo-fi folk songs with home-loving inner self rather minimalist that let appear by moments some well measured arrangements as in the very pop Space Room or the more abstract Goin' On.
No sooner has he been found he's been lost again, with only 33 copies, the 33t is of course out of stock. Let's hope he's found his pants at least (The Interstate).
