Après un EP d'avant-goût sort enfin le très bel album du suédois Retep Folo avec Dorothy Moskowitz de The United States Of America intitulé The Afterlife, à peine sorti, déjà épuisé. Disque poétique d'électro psyché à mi-chemin entre Mort Garson et Broadcast qui explore musicalement l'autre monde, ou comment mettre en mélodies un imaginaire silencieux, des présences marquées par leur absence.

After an EP as a foretaste, the wonderful album by Retep Folo from Sweden and Dorothy Moscowitz from The United States Of America (the country but also the band) named The Afterlife is finally out, though already sold out. A poetic album halfway between Mort Garson and Broadcast that explores in music the other world, or how to put in melodies a silent world and presences marked by their absence.

Excusez-moi, je cherche le bar de la navette spatiale... Retep Folo, anagramme de Peter Olof (Fransson), a dignement aluni chez Clay Pipe Music pour une sortie comme il se doit, après son autoproduction casanière Music For Cats, il fallait cette fois-ci élargir l'horizon : la galaxie !
Galactic Sounds évoque les visions futuristes de cartes postales des années 70, les canapés design et les couleurs fières, une croisière dans l'espace sans turbulences, un cocktail à la main (celui de votre choix). Les hauts-parleurs diffusent des sons d'orgue Farfisa flottants et c'est dans ce décor projeté mentalement qu'on se plait à écouter les pièces instrumentales de Galactic Sounds les dimanches de paresse.

Excuse me i'm looking for the spaceship's bar... Retep Folo, anagram of Peter Olof (Fransson), has landed with dignity on the Clay Pipe Music moon for a proper release, after his domestic self-released Music For Cats, he had to open his horizon this time: the galaxy!
Galactic Sounds evokes futuristic visions from 70's postcards, design sofas and proud colours, a cruise in space without turbulences, holding a cocktail (of your choice). The speakers broadcast the floating sounds a Farfisa organ and it's in this mentally projected scenery that it's enjoyable listening to the instrumental pieces of Galactic Sounds on lazy sundays.

Les guitares et claviers électroniques jouent les éclaireurs dans un monde translucide d'apparence fragile et pourtant solidement construit, un royaume de contemplation spatiale.

Mårten Lärka - Alouette (Album)

Un Lou Reed qui chante en français avec l'accent suédois, Mårten Lärka fait sa cuisine lo-fi avec fantaisie, ni sérieux ni ridicule il nous invite à nous égarer dans ses pensées au travers de chansons accueillantes et bizarres.
Alouette est un bel album avec des pépites de pop-psyché comme Je Suis Un Rocker et Robot. Tout va bien se passer ce soir.

A Lou Reed singing in french with a swedish accent, Mårten Lärka makes his lo-fi cooking with fantasy, neither serious nor ridiculous he invites us to get lost in his thoughts through welcoming and weird songs.
Alouette is a beautiful album with psychedelic-pop gems like Je Suis Un Rocker et Robot. 'Tout va bien se passer ce soir'.
