Montaña est un quatuor espagnol de punk dansant de Séville. Après un EP il y a deux ans, leur premier album est sorti cette année et met le climat andalou en chambre froide. Un album défouloir entraînant rempli d'excellentes chansons (Batalla, Caída...).

Montaña is a spanish dancing punk quatuor from Seville. After an EP two years ago their first album was released this year and puts the andalusian weather into a cold room. A way to let off steam and a lively album full of excellent songs (Batalla, Caída...).

The Russell Club - January Sales (EP)

En escapade solo de son groupe Monkeys In Love, Steve Simms-Luddington lance une série d'EPs saisoniers. January Sales est le premier de cette série avec deux titres synthétiques de post-punk à la croisée des chemins de ce qu'il fait habituellement avec son groupe et des délires sonores sci-fi-lo-fi de groupes comme The Clears. On attend vite les prochains !

On a solo escape from his band Monkeys In Love, Steve Simms-Luddington launches a serie of seasonal EPs. January Sales is the first one of this serie with two synthetic post-punk tracks at the crossroads of what he usually does with his band and some sci-fi-lo-fi sonic deliriums of bands like The Clears. Brabrabra - Lagooona (EP)

Le trio féminin refait surface avec Lagooona un EP bienvenu, mêlant post-punk et pop en anglais, italien et japonais, tout ça en 4 petits titres, juste le temps pour le groupe géographiquement séparé de chauffer ses instruments et confirmer que la sauce prend toujours aussi bien.
Pas de répétition, chaque titre explore différents recoins de la créativité et de l'énergie modulante de Brabrabra qui laisse transparaitre l'enthousiasme des musiciennes à rejouer ensemble. Ceux qui connaissent déjà l'excellent Mango sorti en 2013 auront plaisir à retrouver l'esprit libre de Brabrabra, les autres ont une belle découverte en perspective.

The feminine trio resurfaces with Lagooona, a welcomed EP mixing post-punk and pop music in english, italian and japanese, all this in 4 small track, just enough time for the band geographically separated to warm up their instruments and confirm that the mayonnaise still takes well.
No repetition, each track explores different corners of the creativity and modulating energy of Brabrabra letting the musicians' enthusiasm of playing again together show through. Those who already know the excellent Mango released in 2013 will have pleasure in getting back to Brabrabra's free mind, the others have a nice discover in sight.
