Drôle d'année, je crois que je n'ai pas écouté grand chose de nouveau et pourtant il y a eu de bonnes choses. Dans le désordre :
Strange year, i think i have not listened to many new things but it was a good year though. In no particular order:

COURAGE, MON AMOUR ! by Troy Von Balthazar

Un album dont le nom renvoie à Took Some Money sur son premier album solo, qui s'ouvre sur Black Black, autre référence, à Chokebore cette fois, et qui se termine sur It Ends Like Crazy , nom de l'un de ses albums solo aussi. Amusant. A part ça, Courage Mon Amour ! est une merveille, pas joyeuse mais belle.
The name of the album is taken from Took Some Money on his first solo album, the song Black Black, name of a Chokebore album opens, and the album ends with It Ends Like Crazy, name of another of his solo albums. Amusing. Beside that Courage Mon Amour ! is a wonder, not joyful but beautiful.

Folklore - The Curse (Album)

Le groupe d'Athens revient 10 ans après Home Church Road, leur précédent album. The Curse est un court album de 7 titres dans lequel Folklore n'a pas pris une ride malgré les années.
Comme souvent, derrière l'album se cache une histoire, un concept. Ici Folklore se replonge dans les étés de l'enfance et leurs sensations, les chansons pop-folk sont doucement brûlées par le soleil, le son est parfois sec comme l'air, la disto craque sous les pas. L'esprit un peu étourdi par la lumière du jour, déconnecté.

The band from Athens comes back 10 years after Home Church Road, their previous album. The Curse is a short album of 7 songs on which Folklore is not looking a day older depsite the years.
As often, behind the album hides a story, a concept. Here Folklore returns to childhood summers and their sensations, the pop-folk songs are softly sunburnt, the sound is sometimes dry as the air, the distortion cracks under the footsteps. The mind a bit stunned by the day light, disconnected.

The Compleat Cannoniere - Harvest Festival

Je n'ai pas réussi à trouver beaucoup d'informations sur ce qui semble être un duo originaire de Bristol. Leur musique instrumentale est un intéressant mélange de folklore, d'expérimentations et de mélodies psyché-pop, utilisant de nombreux instruments traditionnels. Le résultat est assez hypnotisant et fascinant. Leur dernière sortie s'intitule Harvest Festival.

I couldn't find much informations on what seems to be a duet from Bristol. Their instrumental music is an interesting mix of folklore, experimentations and psychedelic-pop melodies, using a lot of traditional instruments. The result is hypnotising and fascinating. Their latest release is named Harvest Festival.
