Ce qui est censé être la maison de Volumina ressemble plus à un magasin de jouets avec des objets animés et clignotants à chaque rayon, rien d'étonnant venant de quelqu'un qui revendique comme influences aussi bien l'électro ludique de Gangpol & Mit que les chansons pour enfant de Francisco Gabilondo Soler connu sous le nom de Cri-Cri. Volumina, projet du mexicain Benjamin Z., digère tout cela avec une touche d'innocence maîtrisée sous des allures pop modernes.
La maison est accueillante et confortable, un abri aux murs faits de rêves colorés et dans lequel on trouve assis sur un fauteuil Apache O'Raspi, collaborateur sur cet album et déjà apparu sur ce blog. Si on y jette un coup d’œil, la décoration est agréable, harmonieuse et joueuse, chaque pièce de This Is Our Home, Please Come In! a son propre joyeux univers avec pour unique fonctionnalité le plaisir du visiteur.
What is supposed to be Volumina's home looks more like a toy store with animated and flashing objects in each department, nothing surprising coming from someone who claims influences like the fun electronic music of Gangpol & Mit and the children's songs of Francisco Gabilondo Soler known under the name of Cri-Cri. Volumina, project of the mexican Benjamin Z., digests all this with a touch of controlled innocence under modern pop appearances.
