Chargr - Lamp Session (album)

Synthé, guitare et cassette : Chargr enregistre de nouvelles versions lo-fi de ses morceaux pour le fun ainsi que deux reprises de Weezer, se limitant à 4 pistes à chaque fois. Les morceaux sonnent un peu plus étranges, comme échappés d'une autre dimension ou d'un film de David Lynch, ce qui donne un décalage intéressant avec les originaux.

Chargr - Vox Pop (Album)

Charlie Wood, que l'on connaissait jusqu'à comme membre des Retro Spankees, s'est essayé au challenge d'un album enregistré en un mois.
Chargr est le projet qui en découle, avec un premier album, Vox Pop, avant d'autres à suivre ?
Cette collection de chansons lo-fi pop étranges, amusantes et inventives et une des sorties excitantes de ce début d'année. Chaque titre a sa personnalité et son lot de surprises, mêlant un grand nombre d'influences et d'univers différents tout en conservant une cohérence musicale.
Chaque son est fascinant, que ce soit la guitare dans The Green, les voix robotiques dans Bot ou Bug, les synthés dans Almost Two, la marimba ou les voix de fond dans Po. Chargr soigne autant les mélodies que les détails qui feront sortir ses chansons de l'ordinaire. Un vrai plaisir.

This collection of weird, fun and inventive lo-fi pop songs, is one of the exciting releases of this year beginning. Each track has its own personality and brings its share of surprises, mixing a lot of influences and different worlds while keeping a musical coherence.
Each sound is fascinating, whether it's the guitar in The Green, the robotic voices in Bot or Bug, the synths in Almost Two, the marimba or the backing vocals in Po. Chargr takes care of both the melodies and the details that will make the songs out of the ordinary. A real pleasure.
