A Man And His Broken Piano, A Big Silent Elephant...).

On flotte toujours.

Apple Pie gets the listener lost since the first track, Apple Tree, a Dylanesque drive that ends in the clouds. We only come down at the end of SATOCT22 closing this EP. And yet. We're still floating. 6 blades of lo-fi madness grass gathered on the living room's flying carpet, or elsewhere, somewhere in Venetia.

Beyza and a Man with his Broken Piano - Yellow

I've been waiting for this release for some time now, the musical collaboration between Beyza Yazgan (Turkey) and A Man And His Broken Piano (Italy), both were on the compilation released at the beginning of this year. Some songs have been hanging around these last months on youtube and soundcloud and they were very exciting.

Yellow - it's the name of this mini-album - is now available thanks to the label Xnot You Xme, and it is also the label's first release. It's lo-fi folk, a little bit psychedelic, sung in english but also in turkish.

Cheerleaders & Quarterbacks

Homesick Suni & The Red Shades just released their first album (on Garage Records - IT) and it smells like good pop and garage music, but in fact it's more complex. It's all well measured and the band finds its balance, it sounds a little bit 60's but not too much, sometimes aerial but not too much, some guitar riffs are noisy and psychedelic but not too much.
When you try to identify them, they slip like a wet soap. Listen to this album, it's very good.

Il s'appelle I Don't Know What It Is et la vidéo psyché est juste en dessous.

The italian band The Vickers who released their great single She's Lost earlier this year, have just released a new one announcing an album for 2014. It's called I Don't Know What It Is and its psychedelic video is right here.
